Frieda Kemuiko Geiseb, the project manager, started this project in 2008. First of all she was having some informal talks with the members of the community. Then she bought a plot from own resources and from collections from the community of Windhoek. A bank account was opened in which she deposited the money and the same money was also used to buy the plot in Havana. As she was looking for donates she came across to the German association called Pallium e.V.. With this money she and some helpers – together with German students who engaged like volunteers – were able to build the soup kitchen house. Now the project has already some network that is assisting in a small way. The structure is completed and the project is ready to start the operations.
